What is POsH?

POsH is the Prevention of Homelessness Consortium and it co-ordinates partnership working between the many agencies which provide advice, accommodation and support services for homeless people in Watford. Members are from statutory bodies, voluntary organisations and local Registered Social Landlords.

POsH meetings continue to be held every two months.This year we have added Watford Community Housing Trust to our list of hosts for the meetings.

In March we held a meeting to review POsH as it has been operating for several years now.  The feedback was positive about what we do and several very useful suggestions were made about how we can improve our 'joined-up' working.

We summarised all the achievements made since POsH began and listed the joint working which has developed. This served to show just how much work is going on in Watford to support the needs of homeless people and to work to prevent future  homelessness.
